interesting. I did start outplanning theqwiso route but switched to bho half way.you definitely need be particular which butane cans you use, I ordered them in after reading up, near zero impurities is the best you can get outside lab supplies. still you are right, they are not cheap.

im set up for iso wash as well, so I think I will run both methods side by sidewith sameherbs and see how things compare. bit worried about the honey bee extractor and how safe that thing really is long term, I wouldn't bet on it. Any more runs, im putting together a jigso I canset it go and retire a very safe distance!

My first mechanical vape mod has arrived. I purchased a Smoktek Magneto Mechanical Mod in brass. At first glance, the unit appears to be heavy duty and high quality. A very simple device to use. This device can accommodate batteries from 18350 up to the 18650 with the telescoping casing. Same batteries as the SVD. The push button is on the bottom. At first it was kind of awkward, but I got used to it.

First, I tried my preferred devices on it, like the iClear 30. The Smoktec worked, but seemed a bit weak compared to the SVD when running the iClear 30. I used the 18490, 3.7 V battery. Just not enough power to run it properly. When I run the iClear 30 on my SVD I set the volts at 4.8.

Next, I tried the UP Tech KISS cart. The Smoktech ran that pretty darn good. Even better than the SVD. Very impressive. I did need to use the 510 - 601 adapter to run the KISS on the smoktech.

It may be worth finding just the right rig that the 3.7 V will operate perfectly to meet your needs, for vaporizing straight concentrates. UP Tech offers a lot of nice accessories that can be ran with 3.7 Volts.

I purchased the Smoktech from High Desert Vapes for less than $50. https://highdesertva...anical-Mod.html

I am very impressed with the Magneto. I just ordered the stainless steel one!

It operates a little different. Going with different batteries, especially larger ones like the 18650, even the protected 2600mAh18650 you do notice a power increase. With these batteries I have been able to operate my preferred e-cigg devices.

It is the same but opposite of the SVD. A couple of fast button pushes can increase the power going to the device. Just something that you need to get used to, it is a little different.

I highly recommend this product at this time.

I like this product so much, and as long as it lasts a long time, I am willing to start building my own coils to get the best out of it.

It has really made me start to enjoy the 3.7 volt Persei devices that are meant for vaping the oil straight.

I have pumped a good 4 grams of straight blueberry jam QWISO hash through the KISS cart so far. A little more combustion to it compared to e-cannabis, but ti is pretty good, especially with the mechanical vape.

I may even begin to like it better than the SVD.

Well, more opinion on the Magneto and vaping the oil straight with UP Tech carts meant for Persei and Omicron. I chose to use the Persei model, 3.7 volt KISS. I just now tried the KISS TI, this one is made with titanium, I believe the titanium is in the coil. The first difference I noticed in the TI KISS compared to the original KISS, besides the $5 difference in price is the ohms. I was going to set the titanium KISS aside for a spare since I like the KISS, but when I saw that there is a 100% difference in the ohms or 50% depending on how you look at it, The Titanium KISS is only 1 ohm, the original KISS is 2 ohm. They both work pretty much the same with the magneto, it doesn't make sense, but it is what it is. I had to try it. I just now did. With the same oil and I am very impressed. When I first loaded it, and I mean loaded with RSO, with good feathering of the power button, it basically offered a gaseous form like the e-cannabis did, not as convenient, but very impressive. I really like this rig. I like it twice as good on the mechanical Magneto vape. When it comes to the UP Tech KISS products, I would take the mechanical vape over the SVD any day.

The SVD is a must for me since it reads the ohms and I know that it has circuitry protection, it offers me a lot of information (the $37 SVD from Fast Tech does not offer these benefits). The SVD has been helping me in building my own coils for a custom unit. The unit is a clone of the Kraken. These units can cost up to $200. I really want to get into building my own coils. I have a lot of time into it with failure and success. It is going to take longer than what I thought to get it mastered. One of the reasons it is difficult for me is I want to master it for cannabis use and I want to master it with a basic 3.7 V battery. That is not going to be easy. Choosing to go with a high powered battery would make it a lot easier in making the coils sub ohm, but I am looking for what is best for cannabis use and that is 1 ohm and above. I am looking at 2 - 3 ohms and it is not easy to get the 3.7V mechanical vapes to work with. At least not dual coil. I must say, the rig I have been working with, in one of the pictures I will show, next to the KISS, I have been using e-cigarette oil to test my coils. I must say, for it being thick heavy steel it is the first unit made of such and my e-cigarette oil tasted extra good. Normally my e-cigarette oil does not taste good in metal, but the cannabis does.

Either way, I am going to keep hacking away at making my own coils and will post about it in the future.

I highly recommend the Smoktech Magneto, available salt & pepper (Brass & Stainless Steel). I highly recommend the UP Tech KISS cart, especially the new Titanium one, I can't yet verify how it will last since today is the first time I used it. I will say it is pretty good. The KISS is not nearly as good with a digital type vaporizer. It is like it was meant for a mechanical 3.7V vape that used 18350 - 18650 batteries. Me personally, if it were not for the mechanical vape, I would not have continued to discuss the KISS like I have. It is like the KISS and a mechanical vape go together. Even my e-cigarettes taste better and is far more potent with the mechanical vape. Why I do not know. I still say the SDV kit from High Desert Vapes is the all around best. My favorite vape to use is the Smoktech Magneto, also from High Desert Vapes. I like the brass and stainless. I will probably get a couple more. My third vape I put on my favorite list is the simple eGo C Twist VV 650 mAh, especially for stealth.
