Almost forgot, here is where I got the Mega and Mini from. Great shipping and so far, no complaints. I have made other purchases from this store and no problems yet.

This will take you directly to the KangerTech products http://www.myvaporst...rtech_s/143.htm

Here is a link to KangerTech. Looks like they are going to rule when it comes to e-cigg accessories. http://www.szkanger.com/index.asp

They have a pretty awesome product line up for sure! Their new product line up looks good too.

I have been trying the AeroTank Mega with the glass tank. A lot more smooth and less burning compared to the AeroTank. So far no clogging or gurgling, every hit has been the same as the last. Not as easy to burn the oil and less feathering of the button required. When I get around to it I will try one of the new designed coils in the AeroTank. This would be to see if it helps with the burning effect and taste of the hit.

A little update on using the AeroTank Mega.

After using up half of the oil, it has been working 100% flawless. Best taste.

I was using it on the SVD but just switched it to the Magneto mechanical vape. I have the 18490 battery in the magneto. It operates kind of hot, which is good. You can't hold the button down long. It seems to be working really well with the 1.5 ohm coil. It fits good and works good on the magneto.

With the regular AeroTank and the 2.0 ohm coil I started running into clogging issues because it was not running hot enough. Going to a stronger battery seemed to start ruining the coils. With the new 1.5 ohm coil for the AeroTank Mega and Mini, which will also work in the original AreoTank, the Magneto operated them kind of hot so you have to be fast with the trigger finger. I prefer that for a mechanical vape.

I also just put one of the new style 2.0 ohm coils in my original AeroTank used it on the Magneto and SVD and each seemed to operate the tank very well. So far anyway.

A nice review of the KangerTech AeroTank Mega and Mini. Someone shared this video with me who just tried the Mini with their BHO mixed to e-cannabis oil. They said it works a lot better than the MJ pen they were using that is meant for vaporizing concentrates straight. It basically solved a lot of their complaints they were having with their standard MJ pen.

In the video the guy is using prototypes, not the final product that is now available. The unit that I received is a bit of a fancier design. They solved the loose airflow control problem on the mini and mega and the petty gauge that shows the airflow is 50% more accurate now.

The steel tanks that they also come with have a nice design on them, in the video they were just smooth cylinders with no design. The mini I received came a little different than what is shown in the video. My mini came with an additional metal tank and the package arrangement was different. The mini was assembled in the package I received.

The only improvement I would recommend would be on the mini to where the mini would be like the mega and not allow any possibility of liquid dripping down to the battery chamber. The only other thing I could think of would be more options with the coils. Higher and lower ohms and different types of metal to be used for the coils which can have a big effect on the taste, like titanium for instance.

This guy is real strict on his reviews, but I would say he is the best reviewer I have seen.

The mini and mega are the whoop. KangerTech just released the AeroTank V2, can't wait to try that and I can't wait to try the new ceramic coils when they become available.

KangerTech Rocks!

These two units really seem to be of a medical/hospital grade in quality.

Some tips from My Vapor Store about KangerTech products. I don't agree with all of the tips, but then again, I am using e-cannabis oil.

Tips:

  • The metal tube in the center of this Clearomizer leads from the mouthpiece to the battery end. Avoid getting liquid in this tube when filling the Clearomizer.
  • When unfastening the base (atomizer head) to refill the Clearomizer, the seals are temporarily broken and liquid will leak from the mouthpiece or escape into the center tube. Always wrap a cloth or piece of tissue around the mouthpiece when unfastening the base of the Clearomizer.
  • Gurgling noise or leaks: This is a sign that liquid has found its way into the metal tube in the center of the Clearomizer (and usually occurs after a refill). Ridding the center tube of liquid will resolve the issue. To do so without emptying the tank, remove the Clearomizer from the battery, wrap a cloth or tissue around the battery end of the Clearomizer and blow through the mouthpiece.
  • The atomizer head of the Protank can unfasten when unscrewing the tube or base. Always secure the atomizer head before reinstalling the base of the Protank.
  • It is normal to find a small amount of liquid in the battery contact area when removing the Clearomizer or any atomizer. We recommend cleaning the battery before charging it.
  • When possible, keep the tank full and never below 1/3 full of eLiquid ("topped off"). This helps maintain the "vacuum" in the tank and prevent leaks.
  • Atomizer heads have an average lifespan between 10 to 20 days. When the atomizer head wears down, it may begin to leak. Replace the atomizer head with a new one if available.

It has taken me a while to consume the 3.8 grams of oil I put into my AeroTank Mega. I have also been testing the Mini so it has taken some time. I ended up putting my Mega away for a good week or so and there was not even a gram left in it from the original fill. So I consumed about 3 grams to that point. When I went back to use it a week later, it was acting like the coil flooded over or something. Being experienced, I tipped it upside down, took some hits to try to clear out the flooding and some oil leaked into my mouth. That meant it was really flooded. I immediately removed the coil and put it into a shot glass with some 151 everclear. I drained all of the oil I could out of the tank. Earlier in this blog I show how I warm the tank to help loosen the oil so I can get the most out. I noticed that the oil was very thick. That is partially from it sitting for a week with the air valve open and also due to vaping 3 grams out of it. The oil will become thicker and darker from the non vaporizable stuff in the concentrate building up. So I drained out what I could and had to add quite a bit of PG USP to it to thin it out enough to use in the tank. A lot of oil was still stuck in the tank so I added extra PG USP, a bit more than I normally would. Put it back into the tank. Blew the alcohol out of the coil and installed that back into the tank. It appears that I will be able to finish vaping with the original coil. With the extra PG USP I had to add it made the tank almost half full. I am pretty confident it will finish what is in there then I will completely clean the tank, replace the coil, and refill.

Normally I pitch a coil after three grams of use. In between that three grams I like to clean the coil in alcohol so I can get another gram worth of use out of it. The Mega flooded over right at about three grams. I think it is because I made the oil a little thick. Next time I go to fill the Mega I will make the oil a bit thinner with PG USP and believe that may solve the issue. If it does not, or an alternative, when the Mega is half empty, I will just take the coil out, clean it then put it back in or simply replace it. Then there would only be a couple of drops of oil lost.

With the flooding of my Mega, I probably lost out of the whole process, only about 5 drops of e-cannabis oil. That is because I caught on quickly and am familiar with the flooding issue and how to notice it.
